Builds are provided for x64 and ARM64.

Install

  1. Download the .msix matching your PC (x64 or ARM64) from the latest release.
  2. First time only — releases are currently signed with a self-signed certificate, so Windows won't trust them yet. Download Wingnal.cer from the same release, right-click it → Install Certificate → Local Machine → place it in Trusted People.
  3. Double-click the .msix and choose Install.

The certificate step exists only because there's no commercial code-signing certificate yet. Once one is configured, the download will install without any manual trust step.

Link your account

Wingnal connects as a companion device — your phone stays the primary device. In the Signal app on your phone go to Settings → Linked devices → Link new device, then scan the QR code Wingnal shows on first launch.
